Searches that are done on a regular basis using a number of different search filters to produce a report on catalogue records, collection resources, and circulation activity can be saved for future repetitive use. These are referred to as favourite searches.
Save A Favourite Search
Note: A search can be saved if thetools displayed. All saved searches are automatically stored in your personal profile space.
From any displayed search results:
- to save the search that produced the desired results.
- Choose:
- New Favourite Search - provide a suitably descriptive title or name for your search to enable quick retrieval.
- Update An Existing Search - select the search to update. Note: The new search parameters will replace the existing search parameters.

Managing A Favourite Search
Go to: My Profile > My Favourite Searches
- Locate the Favourite Search.
- Choose appropriate One-Click to re-run the search.
- Usage shows the number of times the search has been run.
- Inspectthe criteria used to run the search.
- Resetusage to 0.
- Editthe target for the search. Note: Reports can be run over any listed target but will only produces a result if the target has the necessary criteria as defined in the saved search.
- Removeunwanted saved searches.
Changing A Saved Search
- Locate and run the saved search you want to change.
- Run the search.
- The criteria used to run the search will be shown.
- Reselect from the search options available:
- Add one or more new criteria as required.
- Remove one of more existing criteria as required.
- Re-run the search with the new parameters.
- to Update An Existing Search. Note: You can choose New Favourite Search to create a new search which is a variation on the original.
- The new search criteria will replace the previous search criteria or create a new saved search.
